I’m sure you’ve heard the saying; “A picture paints a thousand words.” Getting the right imagery on your website is so so important. I really can’t stress enough how the right photography can boost your business image and convert your website visitors into customers.

Bespoke photography rather than using stock imagery will set you apart from your competition, Yes, you are likely to still need to use stock imagery on your site. I do. The emphasis though should be on having photos of you, your business and your staff, showing you doing what you do. It is much easier to create a connection with potential customers if they can see you and “buy in” to you personally as well as the product or service that you are selling.

Another well known phrase. ¬†“People by from People”. This is so true. Word of mouth is still the best way to get business. You will meet someone¬†and give them your business card. It is very likely that their next step is to check you out online. They’ll look for your website. An immediate connection will be made if they can see the person they’ve met, perhaps through networking, in the photography of the website. It will give you a level of credibility to show that you are “real.” In a way that stock imagery can never convey.

You could say to me that having a bespoke photo shoot is expensive. Ok, compared to using stock photos, it is. The return on your investment though is well worth that investment.

If you are a tradesman, consider having on-site photos taken. Perhaps these could be done at the premises of a high profile client. You will gain credibility with other potential clients if they see perhaps a photo of you working at the premises of a well known company.

Worthwhile considering don’t you think?

If you’d like some help with this. Maybe just to work out costs and what the benefit of bespoke photography would be to your business, give me a call. We could just meet up for a coffee and a chat.
