Back in 2002, in the early days of Google, I began following its hints and tips to get a business started online. I stuck to the rules. I learnt, understood and repeated. By the time I started my lighting business in 2005, it was working. My phone didn’t stop ringing and the orders were flooding in. My customers were finding me on Google.
I learned about the importance of on-page SEO and the posting of regular blogs for my customers to read. Google loved my regular, fresh and original content.
All of this layered online marketing activity meant that my business was being found. It helped propel my website to the top of Google’s rankings for organic search. Customers were reading my blogs and clicking through to my site to buy. I had a successful and credible online business.
15 years on, I want to give back. I understand websites and how they work. I want to share my learnings. I want to share my successes and my failures as well as the knowledge and expertise I have gained by listening to Google.
I can tell you, based on my success and 20 years of doing it, what the best approach is and this is why I am running this course.
